PRAKALP 2019

Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi, NCR organized its second Annual National Level Summer Internship Project (SIP) Contest “PRAKALP-19” on 20 September, 2019. The event aimed to endow a platform to the budding MBA/PGDM professionals to share the learnings and experience during their summer internship and to give a nationwide exposure to their high-quality summer project reports. Total number of participants was 31.  The students who registered for the event were from 22 institutes and universities across the country.  After a rigorous review and screening of 17 reports, nine institutes were shortlisted and invited for the presentation. The competition was held in three domains – Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. A total of sixteen reports were presented in all three domains and five best reports were selected for the final round. The competition was won by Ms. Areeba Eram from Rukimini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. Mr. Kutbuddin Kanchwala from Som-Lalit Institute of Business Management Studies, Gujrat was declared the runner-up of the contest. Winner was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 15,000 with a trophy and a certificate of merit. Runner-up was awarded with a cash price of Rs. 10,000 with a trophy and a certificate of merit. All the participants were acknowledged with certificates of participation.
The eminent judges for the event were Mr. Gaurav Chauhan, CEO, GVE, New Delhi, Mr. Shyakh Mirza, CEO, Guarage Media, Noida, Dr. Akhilesh Tiwari, Associate Professor, Operations, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR, Prof. Jeanne Poulose, Assistant Professor-HR, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR, Prof. Sanjib Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor-Marketing, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR, and Dr. Puja Kaura, Assistant Professor-Finance, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR, Prof. Varnita Srivastava, Assistant Professor-Finance, Dept. of Management Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR and Dr. Priyanka, Assistant Professor-HR, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR.
All the participants presented their reports in a competent and professional way. The participants spoke with eloquence and were expressive in their respective domains. They were able to justify all the counter questions that came from the judges and the audience. Earlier in the day, the contest was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph, Campus Administrator, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR and was felicitated by Dr. Vinod Sharma, Head of the Department, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR. All participants were recognized by certificates of participation by the eminent jury members and winner & runner-up were awarded by the blessed hands of Rev. Fr (Dr) Viju P D, Campus Director, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR along with Dr. Vinod Sharma and the eminent jury. The event was convened by Dr. Sanjay Rastogi, Associate Professor-Finance, Institute of Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University)-Delhi NCR.  At the end, Dr. Puja Kaura proposed the vote of thanks.
