A live streaming of the 2018 Union Budget of India was arranged for the budding economists at the Ghaziabad Christ Institute campus. The live telecast of FinMin’s 3-hour long Budgetary speech saw enthusiastic participation from our students with many of them even taking notes during the session and performing their own analysis. Not only did the students, but even the faculty members were all ears towards the financial charter of the year that unfolded in front of students in the form of various government schemes and allocation of funds. Post the budgetary speech, the students and faculty members engaged in a debate with many of them presenting their findings and opinions and faculty members answering to their queries and questions. Some of the students even willingly put forward their analysis through brief micro presentations. The session was a big success with such lively interaction between the students and faculty.
