An industrial visit to Carrier Media Pvt Ltd was organized on December 20, 2018 for the batch of 2018-20. Carrier after its joint venture with Midea expanded its product range to include products like refrigerators, washing machine, water purifier and such other products for which India is a potential goldmine. Mr. Ajay Chopra, the production head gave a brief audio video presentation on the company. The students also witnessed the entire production process at the main plant. The visit gave the students insight into the production of indoor as well as outdoor unit of split and window A/Cs, its testing and packaging. In addition to seeing the efficiency of the assembly line, the latest technological interventions and the teamwork displayed by the employees provided additional learning avenues for the students. Christ Institutes of Management, Delhi NCR’s sports club Chris-Spo organized the annual sports meet ‘Chris-Spo 18’ on December 15, 2018 in the luscious green campus of the Institute. The event was declared open by the Executive Vice Chairman, Rev Father Sunny Joseph. The Director, Prof. Dr. Saju K James, emphasized on the importance of sports to remain physically and mentally fit. The event witnessed both individual and team events, including the 100m ,200m and 50m race, 4*50 m relay, cricket, kabaddi and tug of war for both men and women. The event concluded with the winners being awarded medals and trophies. The Champion’s trophy for the year 2018 was lifted by Smith house.

         Talk on Artificial Intelligence                    Dr. Durgansh Sharma, an academician, consultant, system architect and integrator, a researcher and a solution provider with over 25 years of experience delivered a session for the batch of 2018-20, on advanced Excel and application of various statistical tests. He spoke on the recent industry trends in data analytics and data science and elaborated on various models of neural networks. On December 14, 2018 Christ Institute of Management, Ghaziabad lit up in the true spirit of Christmas when schools, parishes and institutions in the vicinity converged in the campus for Magnificat 2018 , a Carol singing competition. Mr. Augustine Peter IES was the guest of honor for the event. Research is an essential part of the curriculum at Christ, Delhi NCR. Dissertation is an endeavour aimed at bridging the gap between industry and academia. Students presented their dissertation topics at Colloquia 1 and the proposed research methodology in Colloquia 2 after an in-depth literature review. They confidently presented their research topics and ventured into newer arenas in their domain areas. The specific feedback from the faculty evaluation panels strengthened the theoretical framework and provided guidance on the necessary parameters needed to pursue a good and powerful research.

The  (C-FAC) conducted its popular Strategic Simulation Game, BID-TO-WIN on December 12, 2018. Teams were allocated a budget, out of which they had to bid and create the best possible IPL cricket team from the available players in the auction list. This game checked the skills of each team to strategize and use the available resources effectively & efficiently. On December 10, 2018, PGDM II, visited Yakult Danone, spread over 8 acres of land of which over 30% is a green belt area. The company manufactures and sells probiotics drinks aimed at contributing to a healthier society. The relationship manager at Yakult elaborated on the working of the distribution channel of the organization and provided in depth information about probiotics and its benefits for people of different age groups. Students witnessed the completely automated, probiotic drink processing inside the plant . Discussions on production, planning, product profile and packaging helped students relate the theoretical concepts learnt in the class  to the actual Industry practices. Report By: Himanshu

On December 10, 2018, students of the Batch 2018-20, visited Celebi an organization that develops, modernizes and finances the existing cargo terminal at IGI Terminal. Mr Ratin Rawal, Assistant Manager- HR & Training, welcomed the students and gave a presentation on the history of Celebi and processes involved in import and export operations. A vibhrant Q&A round witnessed students interacting with the staff at the terminal who patiently helped them to understand the intricacies of the operations. Report By: Anushka Agarwal

Wantrepreneur , a Business Plan Contest was organized in the campus for the students to showcase their business ideas . Each house put up their best ideas forward . Seven teams participated in this contest and the winners were: 1st Position - Porter House 2nd Position - Smith House 3rd Position - Kotler House At the end of the event , the placement brochure of PGDM batch 2017 - 19 was released . The outgoing class representatives were also awarded a Christar certificate by Rev , Fr . Anto Pudussery . The investiture ceremony for the new class representatives was also organized with this event wherein Mr. Jubil Thomas and Ms. Tanu Shree from PGDM1 and Ms. Akansha Reji, Ms. Priya Agrawal and Mr. Akshay Jain from PGDM2 were given the oath of office.

Our Champions It is a proud moment for Christ Institute of Management, Ghaziabad as the All India Management Association declared us as the “National Champions 2018” amongst all management Institutions across India, as Christ Institute of Management team, represented by our students Ms. Priya Raj & Ms. Akansha Reji won 1st prize in the 15th National level Business Plan competition for Young India (NCYI) organized by All India Management Association at New Delhi. The theme of the Business Plan competition was “Turning Potential into Growth Engines: Blueprint to grow Tourism, Sports, Entertainment, Technology and Infrastructure”.
