The Academic Year 2019-2020 Inauguration for I Semester BBA/ BCom/ BA/BSc was
organised on 1st July 2019 at 09:30 AM in the Basement Hall,BlockB.
Session 2 on Institutional Orientation for these students was held on the same day
from 11:15 amonwards in three parallel venues. The inaugural session that lasted for
about 2.00 hours involved the Prayer session,Director’s address welcoming the
students and parents, Campus Administrator’s address and general orientation by the
Campus Director, wherein he shared the important dates pertaining to CIAs, End Semester
Exams and tentative study break dates.Session 2 covered the Institutional Orientation
for the management students on a range of topics like Holistic Education by Dr Vinod
Sharma, Counselling servicesby Ms Soumya, SWO & CSA activities by Ms Anna Reshmy,
history, vision and missionby Prof Sanjib Bhattacharjee and Library services
by Prof Varnita Srivastava
Dr Amit Pareenja shared his experience with the students. He also guided students how to
be focused in career and goal. He also advised the students to be ready for the changes in
global competitiveness. He interacted with the students and guided them about the scope
and career prospects after BBA. He was also kind enough to take a few queries from the
students and answered the queries raised by students.
Mr Gaurav Chauhan also motivated students to give their best in their studies.
He guided students how to become successful while following their hobbies and passions.
He gave examples from the current times and a few movies as to how passionate people
achieved their goals. He interacted with the students and also guided them on how to
prepare for the corporate world.

The Department of Management Studies inaugurated its Management Association on 19/07/19. The Program was conducted in two phases. Rev.Fr. Dr Viju P.Devassy the Campus Director, Rev.Fr.Sunny Joseph- the campus administrator and Mr. Bishwajit Chaudhary a freelance trainer, were the guests of honor of the program.
A video prepared by the students showcasing the start of their academic journey in the campus was shown. The programme then officially started with the lighting of the lamp accompanied by the invocation hymn by the Department’s Choir. This was followed by the address by Prof. Jeanne Poulose who shared the objectives and activities to be conducted by the association in the future.
Rev.Fr. Dr Viju P Devassy in his inaugural address stressed on the importance of holistic development and the role of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the all-round development of the students. Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph, motivated the students by referring to Alexander the Great and reminded them as to how he had conquered the world at the age that the undergraduate students were in currently. He encouraged students to pursue their goals and dreams.
The students of BBA, BBA(H) and BBA(F&A) then went on to perform a street play on the theme “Swacch Bharat”. Followed by the Play a debate competition that was organised on the topic “Movies- a medium of learning”. Five teams participated in the competition and Dhruv Raghvan from BBA Sec A was adjudged the winner of the event. The Chief Guest, Mr. Bishwajit Chaudhary then addressed the students. He urged the students to incorporate the ethical practices while performing their duties in the corporate world. The ceremony concluded with an informal event in the elevated area in between Block A and Block B. the audience were served a mixture of solo and group performances through the 45 minutes show. Solo and Group Song, Solo and Group Dance, Stand-up act, and a Dance Showdown were performed by the students.
Dr. Sahil Arora were the Event Coordinators. Govind Singh from BBA A and Tarika Rastogi from BBA(F&A) were the Student Event Coordinators.

Dr. Surekha Chukkali, faculty members and students. Dr Surekha Chaukkali, Coordinator, Psychology Department warmly welcomed
the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest Dr Amit Garg, Psychiatrist. Rev Fr Viju, Director,
Christ (deemed to be) University Delhi-NCR graced the occasion with his presence. He whole heartedly motivated students in
his address note, he inspired students to not just concentrate on academics but also work towards their own holistic development.
Thereafter, a badge and oath taking ceremony with all of the office bearers took place. The selection of office bearers was an
intensive three round process, after which the core team and Psyasso representatives were selected for investiture.

As a part of PGDM curriculum, the students of Batch 2017-19, presented their colloquium 3 of Dissertation. At this stage of their study they presented their questionnaire and a pilot study by collecting 20-30 responses of their research analysis. The progress were assessed by panel of faculty members. The panel gave their feedback for improvement wherever needed. The final presentation will be in March. The presentation was coordinated by Dr. Vinod Sharma

An intensive Advanced Excel session was conducted by Mr. Sasi Kumar from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore on 7th and 8th of January 2019.
It was an interactive and interesting session in which students have learned about various functions, shortcuts and advanced processes in excel. His way of teaching the tools and techniques of advanced excel was student centric and special attention was given individually. The programme helped students to improve the presentation skills through excel (Pivot Table) and it will act as an added advantage to the future trimester.

After successful completion of Trimester 2, the students of PGDM 2018-20, were introduced to trimester 3. Before commencing formal classes, an orientation program was organized to give them an overview of the trimester. The program started by lighting of the lamp by the Dignitaries, Faculty members and students. An inspiring and motivational speech was given by Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph about eminent personalities who have worked hard to achieve greater heights in their life. The Academic Coordinator talked about new academic changes for third trimester students by introducing specialization for the first time in third trimester. A brief introduction about the
specialization was given by HOD's of Finance, Marketing and HR department which assisted student in picking up their specialization and the program was followed up by a mentoring session by faculty heads

Christ Institute of Management, Ghaziabad celebrated its
Founder's Day on 3rd January 2019 in Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest Rev. Mother Grace Katteth, Executive Vice Chairman Rev Fr. Sunny Joseph, Director Dr. Saju K James, Faculty, Staff Members, and all the students were present to pay the tribute to our founder- St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Rev.Mother Grace Katteth Spoke on the life of St. Chavara. His efforts in providing a platform for God experience, education for all, women empowerment, uplift of dalits & the poor and extending concern for the sick and the dying were the fruits of his dialogue with the society. A video was also shown depicting the life of our founder. Everyone present there paid a floral tribute to St. Chavara.
