CIM hosted its 1st Alumni Meet. Rev Fr. Dr. Mathew Chandrakunnel Prof. of Philosophy of Science from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore was the Chief Guest and Dr. Ashok Singh, former Professor at CIM was the special invited guest on this day. Christ Institutes of Management, Delhi NCR’s sports club Chris-Spo organized the annual sports meet ‘Chris-Spo 18’ on December 15, 2018 in the luscious green campus of the Institute. The event was declared open by the Executive Vice Chairman, Rev Father Sunny Joseph. The Director, Prof. Dr. Saju K James, emphasized on the importance of sports to remain physically and mentally fit. The event witnessed both individual and team events, including the 100m ,200m and 50m race, 4*50 m relay, cricket, kabaddi and tug of war for both men and women. The event concluded with the winners being awarded medals and trophies. The Champion’s trophy for the year 2018 was lifted by Smith house.

An industry visit was organized on 22nd November, 2018 to Anmol Industries at Greater Noida. At Anmol Factory, the PGDM 1 students were guided through the whole process of making biscuits. They were initially taken to the place where the raw materials were unloaded by various vendors and informed about the safety standards they needed to pass before unloading it. The students then witnessed the entire process commencing with the mixing of different raw materials and ending in baking. This was followed by observation of the packing stage of the biscuits. Students appreciated how each and every process was undertaken with utmost care in an environment that was clean and hygienic. It was observed that most activities were being carried on through conveyor belts without much human intervention. An industry visit was organised on 20th November 2018, to Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Brijwasana , Dwarka . It was an initiative of Dr . Akhilesh Tiwari, Associate Professor at CIMG. At IOCL , Mr . Amitabh Verma, Chief Manager , IOCL and Ms . Nisha provided the overview of the industry . They gave the students, an insight into the management of their proceedings and the safety measures in place . Mr . B . S Sharma offered the students a guided tour of the Supply and Distribution Department to understand the software used and the process of recordings of the indents .      The batch then visited the control room to see first-hand the working of the tanks as well as the     controlling mechanisms of the whole plant . They were also allowed to step near the tanks and take a closer view of the truck tanks .
