TRADE FAIR - OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS FOR MANAGEMENT
STUDENTS
Being situated in the heart of India and
as one of the reputed Management
colleges in Delhi NCR, students of Christ institute of management has got a
wonderful opportunity to visit the International Trade Fair, held at Pragati
maidan, New Delhi. Students were able to discuss with the corporates across
various industries and countries to understand the supply and distribution of
their products, competitiveness of market and how as a company they build
strategies to grow and to sustain against their competitors in market.
Being a management student, practical
experience forms the basic need for students, to get live experience in-order
to understand different companies, their products and services, their marketing
strategies, revenue models, supply chain and distribution. It was the 35th
India International Trade Fair which was inaugurated by Honourable President of
India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee on November 14. International Trade Fair is a
platform to showcase peculiarity achieved by the country in diverse fields
especially trade and commerce and the overall experience this year was an
immense as the theme of the fair was on “Make in India”. ITPO as the nodal
trade promotion agency of the country has had a pioneering role in the national
trade growth dynamics since its inception.
Students had interactions with various
traders from South Africa with beaded jewellery and dolls, Afghanistan who
arrived with a platter of rich dry fruits, and Turkey with mosaic lamps. Thus
overall it was a learning experience for students, were students got
opportunity to build network with various corporate people and it was live
experience for students to understand the job market requirements, current
trends, and requirements of corporate.
