Set Theory
Professor Mata Ambar Tiwari, Ex-Dean/ HOD/ Director/ Chief Proctor at University of Allahabad has taken a guest lecture on set
theory on 4th October 2018. The lecture evolved around the basic concepts of
set theory. He explained the topics by using simple techniques and examples. He
also clarified doubts of the students. This was an extension to the lecture of
Dr. Akhilesh Tiwari on his subject Quantitative Techniques

Network Security & Threats
Mr. Nihit Garg, working with IBM for more than 5 years as Team Head, security consultant
in server system operations having an overall experience of more than 16 years,
took a session on 6th October 2018 on the topic network security & security
threats.
The session was organized by
Prof. Sanjib Bhattacharjee on his subject Managing IT, Data and Business
System. Mr. Garg talked about how digitization has transformed our world and
various types of Network Security and their vulnerabilities.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar, HOD Commerce - Kalindi College, DU took a session on 4th
October 2018. The session was about game theory and its applications in
business environment. This was an extension lecture of Prof. Jeanne Poulose on
the subject Managerial Economics. It was a highly interactive session as it
helped to learn the importance of game theory and its different scenarios. The
lecture was enlightening as Dr. Kumar was instrumental in making dominant
strategy, zero sum game etc.

Segmentation, Targeting,
Positioning (STP)
On 5th October 2018 a
marketing lecture was organized by Prof. Sanjib Bhattacharjee on his subject
Sales and Distribution. The session was taken by Mr. Sanjay Gautam, General Manager JUSCO Tata Nagar and an alumni
of XLRI-Jamshedpur. The core concept explained was PESTEL which is an
analytical tool used to identify key drivers of change in the strategic
environment. Another major concept covered was STP which are the three core
steps of marketing. Different types of matrixes such as BCG matrix, GE or Nine
cell matrix, Ansoff matrix were also explained. The session was very
interesting and it helped students in clarifying their basic marketing concepts
