Inaugural Function of the Academic Year 2016-2017

The Orientation programme for the batch of 2016-2018 (July14th, 15th, 2016)
Big things usually have small beginnings. Christ Institute of Management, Delhi NCR too witnessed the beginning of an important event, the inauguration of the new academic year and the formal welcome of the new batch of 2016-2018 into the Christite family on July 14th, 2016 through a small two days inaugural and orientation session.
The event commenced with the welcome of the students of batch 2016-2018, who were accompanied by their parents to the college premises by the PGDM-II batch. The dignitaries who graced this occasion included Rev.Fr.Dr. Jose CC, Chairman and member of the Governing Board, Rev.Fr.Anto Pudussery, Vice Chairman and Chief Administrator and Prof. Dr. Saju K James, Director-Christ Institute Of Management. The prayer commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp. Rev. Fr.Anto Puduserry, led the prayer session and invoked God’s choicest blessings on the institute and its members. The college choir struck the right chords of spirituality by rendering beautiful songs in the prayer session. Ms.Regina Jos from PGDM-II then welcomed everyone present and introduced the guests thus setting the stage for our guests to share their valuable thoughts with us.

Rev.Fr.Dr. Jose CC our Chairman welcomed the new batch and addressed them. He offered crucial insight in to the need and significance of being focused, to learn and evolve constantly and how it was critical more than ever now, for their approach and attitude to undergo a paradigm shift from their Under-Graduation and Graduation days. This was well received and appreciated by the students and their parents. Rev.Fr.Anto Puduserry our Vice Chairman then shared with the audience briefly the history and evolution of the CMI congregation, the values and ideals of our founder St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara and how the Institute expects every Christite to work towards being a better human being. Immediately after this inspiring message, the Director Prof. (Dr). Saju.K.James chose to communicate innovatively with the audience through interesting videos, the importance of being kind, being socially conscious and of being proud of our nationality.

Mr. Dev Shukla from PGDM-II batch thanked all the guests, students, parents and every Christite, who contributed towards the success of the event. The grand finale to the inaugural function was the college anthem sung with great gusto by the college choir. This inaugural function then paved the way for the subsequent orientation sessions on the same day i.e., July14th and the next day on July 15th, to inform and share with the new students, information about the college’s academic culture and the mechanisms in place to facilitate their learning and development through Guidance & Mentoring, Library & LMS, the College System and the Campus to Corporate Mantra at Christ Institute of Management, Delhi NCR.

As we’ve often heard people say, “work well begun is half done”, with such a flawless start to the new academic year, every Christite has now embarked on an exciting journey in pursuit of excellence without losing sight of the societal good.
